Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century, this adorable antique late Victorian 'Gypsy' set band is crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold and graced with three beautiful antique hand cut gemstones; an Emerald and two olden Diamonds. 

At the time there was a great love of symbolic jewellery and the whys of how the 'Gypsy' setting came to be known as such has been lost in the mists of time. Some believe it is derogatory, but in the UK it is oft a held with much pride and therefore we go with the idealism of a simple and free life and the romance of sleeping under the stars as the travellers across the countryside did, and in this case the celestial star settings for the gems are particularly sweet and hand crafted as is the whole. Such a ring could be given as a token of friendship or esteem and the stars taken to symbolise guidance, fortune or mystery.
